I just put a set of 285/75/16's on my lx450 and I love them. Much quieter than the new 31" cooper discoverer at3's I had on previously. Recommend.

I too am going to go with the new KO2 when my size comes out. I am currently running the KM2's and although they have done everything I have asked of them I think they are definitely more geared towards mud and I absolutely hate mud and avoid it at all costs. I ran the original KO's on my last Jeep (ZJ) and really liked them, I am also running them on my 06 Duramax but it doesn't see off-road. I really like the aggressive look and stance of the KM2's but I think the new KO2's will be the ticket for the winter driving on pavement and the Moab and southwestern Colorado wheelin that we do.
I currently have approx. 40k miles on my KM2's driving and another 6000-ish flat towing it behind our coach and still have some life left in them. I am overall very happy with the amount of miles I have gotten out of them and if I get more out of the new KO2's then that is even better.

I had my first opportunity to the run these in the snow. They performed like any other deep treaded heavily siped tire would. Snow traction on the street was fantastic. I have less than 3k miles but I have been impressed thus far.

Thanks for the update. That is another reason I am thinking of switching from the KM2's to the KO2's. My KM2's suck in snow, I have to be in 4WD if there is more than an inch or so. My last Jeep (ZJ) running the KO's was great in winters driving conditions and very seldom ever had to put it in four-wheel drive.

I agree with you on the KM2s and snow. However, after having them siped they have not been worthless. After my first set of KM2s and feeling like I was going to die every winter, I had the new set siped from day one. To reduce the chance of chuncking I had them siped half the depth of the tread. Once I wore beyond that, I had them siped the rest of the way. I am satisfied with the improved snow performance knowing the are an MT. With that being said, I will be going to the new KO2 in 23/x10.5R17 when I get new tires this spring. I've run some sort of MT tire for 15 years. Time to try something else.

So at the BFGoodrich booth at EJS they had a 35" KO2 that they had pulled off one of their BFG JK's... it had over 50k miles on it and had about 1/3 tread left. 
50k miles is amazing, and it looked like it could have gone another 10-20k miles before it was truly worn out. It looked to be in good shape, just well used. I should have taken a photo!

that's good to know, I just put 35x12.5x15s on my Isuzu, although I doubt I would make it to 50k without shagging a set due to alignment issues. I really like how this new gen is a true to size in contact area. The old KOs ran 2+" narrower with the assuming you would air down and expand that tread patch to spec. That's nice, but what's even better is having that 12.5 on the ground to begin with and expanding to 14.5!

I've been running the KO2's all over, from Moab to the San Juans, deep snow on Glade Park and even the sand in Baja... and they've been excellent! I'd have to check, but I should be coming on 10k miles and they look brand new.

If I ever end up dissatisfied with my current tires (not likely), I'll be replacing them with KO2s

Been running them on my Toyota since last fall (finally just got tired of looking at the Falkens, they were never going to wear out...). No complaints. Very good on the snowy roads.

Over 2 years since the last update and my KO2's have over 40k miles on them! I'm still using them hard, the JKU isn't my DD so almost every time it goes out, the tires are getting aired down and beat up offroad. They have about 30% tread left and still have been working well. You can tell that the reduced tread depth effects traction in the really steep loose stuff, but they still grab traction eventually. That said, I blew out the sidewall on the passenger-rear tire a few weeks ago.... but it was my fault. I was bombing down the Alpine Loop above Ouray with sharp rocks everywhere, tires aired down to 12 PSI. I must have found a sharp rock that pinched the sidewall between the wheel and rock. I was honestly surprised that the sidewall blew.
I got that tire warrantied (road hazard from Discount Tire... no out of pocket costs!) and put my new spare tire in rotation with the replacement tire. Both new tires ended up on the rear, for now. My fronts are now 30% tread and put the 3rd used tire in place of the spare.

I still really like the KO2, tires should be something you don't notice/feel/hear... they should just work well, last a long time and be as good offroad as they are on road. The KO2's do that for me, I think they're a excellent all around All Terrain tire.
I hear the new BFGoodrich KM3 has about 35% more sidewall strength and the KO2! I think that will be my next tire for that reason, among others.
