You are right @jeeper Harrison and I decided to join a group of Toyota guys going up Bountiful Canyon Sunday afternoon. We were able to run circles around those guys in the snow until Harrison does what he does best, get us stuck. Not one of the Toyotas could even get close enough to hook up the winches. Luckily one of the Toyota guys had some traction boards which worked great. We hit a patch of frozen crusty snow and we sunk in it.

I love this Xpedition, the A/C worked great in the summer and the heater rocked as well. I stayed warm and dry in a UTV. Imagine that. The older I get, the softer I am getting.

@DAA One more story of traction boards being used. Still 10k/1 for owned vs used.

I mean no disrespect by this at all- honest question trying to understand.

What is the point of this vehicle?

Fully enclosed, hard top, isn't it just a tiny, not-street legal 4x4?

No disrespect taken. My life has changed, this change includes grandkids who do not like slow bumpy jeep rides. They do like faster, smoother utv rides. UTV riding means dirty, dusty, hot, cold, wet and muddy rides. I got one of those types that go fast and get dirty UTVs. My kids like that one. Nana likes no dirt and smoother rides. The littlest grandkids like the same thing, hence, the Xpedition. It is a smaller, fully enclosed, but street legal fun ride that fits my current lifestyle very nicely. I am seriously thinking about getting a second one. My family is growing and this is what my grandkids enjoy doing with papa. I have spent many nights in the mountains with my grandson in the RTT. We can go places and camp and fish. This is time that is priceless to me. I have 2,000 miles on it already. This picture was taken near the top of Mt Logan the morning after that big rain storm that flooded a lot of homes. It was a crazy noisy night but we stayed dry and warm. We spent the day fishing and had a great time and added to another great memory for us.IMG_0833.jpg

anything that gets you more time with the grandkids is money well spent.

I have heard other like the much smoother ride, I guess that is the trade off for having to trailer to the trail heads.

Oh, sorry, I'll text you some pics.

This won't be the first time we come down here this winter. Getting out from under the grey and watching the temps climb the farther we got was absolutely therapeutic. I hiked around in shorts this afternoon and got a sunburn. I'm high as a kite.
