Well hell, while were at it lets just keep on making some assumptions based on the information contained in the pictures.

We also have a clear wife beater and child molester---the individual holding the beer can has a wedding ring on which clearly means he's married and since he's holding a beer he also is a raging alcoholic prone to beating his poor wife in a drunken rage--followed by his children and the children of his neighbors. He also cheats on his wife and throws his empties on the doorstep of SUWA’s new headquarters with pictures of himself doing sand angels in cryptobiotic soil with a beer helmet on.

The 3rd picture has what is obviously the leader of a gang in the top left corner. This is obvious because he has 'longer than necessary' shorts and he's next to another person who is clearly throwing up gang signs to the drunken driver of the white cherokee.

We also use deductive logic to determine that the driver of the white vehicle is drunk.

A: Any time there is beer within 30 feet of a moving vehicle the driver is consuming it.

B: There is a beer clearly within 15 feet or less of the vehicle

therefore....the driver is consuming the beer….and is drunk…..and if he’s married (can’t tell from the picture) he also beats his wife etc etc etc.

Also, the driver is clearly under the influence of mind altering drugs. I can ascertain this from my personal knowledge of the owner of the vehicle using the same model as above.

A: Brett is a hippy
B: All hippie's (and people who like techno for that matter) are high.
therefore C: Brett is high (furthermore brett must also like techno--which is worse than all the other violations in this thread)

thats fun. How bout instead of making assumptions that lead to unsolicitied personal ethical stands we just say. "Brett, nice job driving an open diffed XJ up a really big ledge on the end of the pickle despite the better judgment of all the raging drunks around you at the time"

Thats more fitting.

"hope the guy with the beer wasn't driving" come on man.....thats just like school on sunday.

right. what was the point of the comment.

Should I post on every thread where there is a motor vehicle "Hey! I hope there isn't anyone around that is drinking and driving cause that is bad!"

ya, there is a beer in the picture. but leave the assumptions to yourself about the quality of character of the individual attached to that beer.

Cody <I'm the pissy one. Realistically, I just haven't been in an e-battle for a while since Ken doesn't come along any more. my reputation for being an asshole isn't obvious enough to most of the new people around here.

psst: I'm just having fun. Nothing personal intended. all for a good laugh

hey Cody you can quite being a douche bag at anytime.did i in my post say Brett was drinking or drunk i don't think so.now if the person is out there drinking he might be out there driving.its this type of person that doesn't help the cause for keeping trails open in anyway that i see.it usually this same person that tosses his can on the side of the trail after he is done.sorry for looking out for what i like to do.

so this wasn't an attack on Brett and since i care for the trails i want to be able to drive at some time i'll keep my mouth shut so you can attack me again for caring

lol. so if the person that is drinking might be driving, might not the person driving be possibly drinking? seems like the same logic and equally as fair.

Also, how fair is it to assume all people who drink while on the trail toss their beer cans on the trail? there you go with your assumptions again. If he's drinking, he might be driving. If he's driving then he's probably throwing his beer cans on the trail.....how bout leaving it at step 1?

my only point is that is that while your personal ethical standpoint is fair, justified, and completely noble, it was also entirely unsolicited. other than that, I just got carried away trying to be creatively antagonistic. If you wanted to discuss the repercussions of drinking alcoholic beverages while on the trail--start a thread about that. I'd love to contribute. I am by no means defending drinking on the trail. BY NO MEANS.

Cody

besides, I'm more or less just messing with you--you don't need to get all butt hurt. I didn't call you a douche bag or any other names. I just criticized your unsolicited crusade. My criticism isn't meant to be personal. If you take criticism personally I sincerely apologize....i forget sometimes that some people aren't used to it.

BWAHAHAHA you guys kill me  . I should stay up later to read this stuff when it happens.

that set of ledges look a lot smaller then I remember them, but its been 4 or 5 years since I ran the pickle the whole way.

Nice pics Brett, but I think a wide angle lense and a change of angle, to say the side would of made the photo all the better :p .

the ledge looks bigger in person. I couldn't get up it in my buggy last time I was there--but it was in the snow which doesn't help matters.
