So... I need a thick dana 60 diff cover. And was looking to see what others run and like. Typically, I build my own, but I'm really not in the mood. I have looked at the BTF weld it yourself one and like it. Rockcrusher one is ok...

Mine is leaking, so it's time.

Discuss?

I'm pretty happy with the Teraflex covers....you'll be about $100 for a D60 version, I don't know how that compares price-wise to the rest. It's approximatly 3/8" thick, nodular iron.

They are about 3/16" thick?

I've had BTF's on my rig and love them. I hit rocks with them all the time and hear spotters saying 'diff/rock' and I don't care and just plow through. Sometimes it's just a pain to keep backing up to steer clear of the rock.

But that Spicer unit is a pretty good deal for $17. I have them in stock, so if you are curious I can grab one and measure the thickness to be sure. They also have a high fill plug, too....

I got the old rock crusher ones like the solid ones. I paid 100 shipped for 2 on sale. The old samurai ones were ruff stuff and were awesome, but you paid for it

My brother runs one on his front D60 from GreatLakesOffroad I think... its 1/2" thick plate and it has another 1/2" strip 3" wide strap covering where the ring gear goes, so 1" total thickness there. He has bashed that thing pretty hard with nothing more than a scratch.. and it's pretty good bang for the buck (inexpensive iirc)

I have the tera one on my front 60 and the solid one on my 14 bolt.
Love em both. They can really take a beating.
I think I have a used tera one here at the shop if you were interested on that.

I like the BTF ones, but a five piece 1/4" one vs a single piece bent one that is 3/8" seems stronger.

I'm questioning weather I like the modular one better or the bent plate ones.

That SOLID one looks cool, just wonder how well it would handle the abuse I would throw at it.
