Rear axle from a 1987 4Runner 4cyl with shafts, brakes, and complete third member with stock gearing. I pulled it out of my daily driver almost 2 years ago because of a noise during deceleration on the freeway. It would make a great set of spare parts. There are two broken studs on the one...
With the current tires/gears the chart below is the tachometer for this vehicle. If I could figure out how to attach an excel sheet I would post up the calculator I made that will let you change tires, gears to find engine speed at vehicle speed and trans gear.
I haven't driven it since the accident. I did have to turn the ignition off after the accident. The insurance company is supposed to deliver it to my house tomorrow and I will know for sure. From what I saw the day I went to get my things out of it, it should still drive. There is no damage...
--SOLD--87' 4Runner with 1UZFE Lexus V8 $1750
!!!!!!!! SOLD !!!!!!!!!!
I have a 1987 Toyota with a 4.0 liter lexus V8. It was in an accident a few weeks ago. Drivetrain is still in good condition. This would be a great start for anyone that has been thinking about a V8 swap in their 1st...

No, I haven't thought much about the heavier axles. I am looking for an inexpensive, readily available, direct replacement. Emphasis on the inexpensive. Are there a lot of 9.5s out there?
Problem is that it is not going behind a v6. I have the 1UZ-FE V8 in my 4runner. I have the 4cylinder differential and axle behind it now, and it is not so happy. It may only be the bearing that is bad, but I figure I will be happier longer with the v6 axle setup.
I'm looking for a V6 rear axle with 4.10 gearing and an R150F transmission for my new '87 4Runner. Do you have one or the other or both that you would sell?
Thanks,
Andrew
