    Jeep Rentals in Moab

Anyone have preference/opinionon which place(s) to renta Jeep from in Moab? A bunch of us are headed down next weekend and we need an extra rig, likely prefer something that seats 4 and can handle some rougher trails, nothing extreme. Thanks, sled_guy

    Moab first timer recommendations

Ok, I have a couple of buddies coming to Utah in April and they want to do a one day Jeep run in the Moab area. They are going to rent a "modified" Jeep from one of the outfits in Moab and we are going to join them. I was thinking the Elephant Hill and out Bobby's Hole loop to take them on...

    700r4 Dilemma

I haven't checked for a while, but you could buy a trans directly from GM and it came with a new torque converter too for the same price the local shops were rebuilding them for... might check the dealer. The one from the dealer has all the updates applied. Cool is a must on any auto really...

Elephant Hill, Devil's Kitchen, Confluence, Stock Laredo OH MY

I won't bore you with all the details of the run up to the trip, but suffice it to say that originally it was going to be just my buddy Nate, his son Riley, my son Josh and I going to the Confluence, Devil's Kitchen and Elephant Hill by ourselves. Somewhere along the line that turned in to Nate...

    GMC / Chevy '87 K5 Blazer... thoughts

I don't know what my budget is... haven't thought about it. I am just curious what you all think the upgrades/changes should be. 373 gearing too high? The specs say that it is about 6" wider than a Rubicon but a foot or so longer. I guess the overhang behind and in front of the axles ends up...

    GMC / Chevy '87 K5 Blazer... thoughts

Ok, I'm thinking about picking up an '87 Silverado Blazer with TBI and a 454 big block in front of the 700R4. It has 10 bolt axles with a limited slip rear end and manual front hubs. 373 gears. Its pretty well loaded: AC, tilt, power locks/windows, etc. All in good working condition. My...

Westwater and the Bookcliffs; July, 2011

I hunted that area up over Atchee last year and have a permit for it again this year. That is one of Colorado's best deer areas. I've been on the river down Westwater a couple of times this year and wondered about coming up that way on to the Atchee ridge. Thanks for the report. sled_guy
