I will second the Mill Creek swimming hole. If you park at the power plant there is some descent swimming right below the dam. It is a little challenging to get down into the canyon, but there is a small trail about 50 yard below the dam that has some foot holes to climb down. Just be careful...

The Calf Creek campground is a pay site, but it is very kid friendly. Calf Creek runs right through the campground. When we were the back in the day I was probably 11-12. We had a blast playing in the creek. Being 36 now, I really really want to go back and, well, play in the creek again. Zack

If I remember correctly, there are some small ruins on the hike to Lower Calf Creek falls from the campground. But that has been 20+ years ago. I remember ripping my swim trunks sliding by the lower falls. That was a fun hike back! Zack

I am not a first timer, but i am somewhat of a noob. Where you staying? We are in canyonlands campground. I would love to do Hells again, or we would be up for the psm/gs/gbr combo. We would probably do the atv's on that one though.
