    Jeep JKU Build/Advice

Sound advice Mr. johngottfredson. If it wasn't obvious before, I was already leaning that way, but I needed a better reason than, "cuz I wanna." I hadn't quite thought about resale either, and to be fair, that's not the goal at all, but I'm no motorhead, and my wrenching skills can only get me...

    Jeep JKU Build/Advice

Great questions. Lemme start with ducks; I've not recieved any, and it makes me sad. 🤣 In all seriousness, I've only owned a few Jeeps in the past, and none have been "built." I've wheeled all of them through Hell's (including a '99 Cherokee with a 2" budget boost and stock pizza cutters), Fins...

    Jeep JKU Build/Advice

Actually, I realize you didn't say anything about the engine, just the axles. Adding trusses would be the plan.

    Jeep JKU Build/Advice

What do you mean by, "It wouldn't get out of its own way?" Were you snapping axles or other axle related parts? Or is it that the 3.8l, even with low geared axles, is a dog to push 37's?

    Jeep JKU Build/Advice

In my attempt to get back on the trails, I picked up a relatively inexpensive JKU without fully researching which Jeep would be right for my needs. I got a 2011 Wrangler Unlimited Sport rocking a 2" body lift, Smittybilt XRC fenders (for tire clearance I assume), and running on 35" AT's. I ran...

    Hello Again

Hello again, fellow 4x4 enthusiasts, I'm not entirely new, but it's been a hot minute (*cough* 12 years) since I posted last. Though I've grown a bit since (mostly in the mid-section), I've managed to learn almost nothing new with regards to off-roading. I've had many off-road adventures, but...

    Jeep Noob Suspension Questions

I would define $50 as cheap. My wife doesn't want me investing too much into it because it doubles as the grocery getter. I want it capable, but not overkill, if that makes sense. You bolted up stock S-10 leaves with a longer shackle and got 4"? What were the cons to running S-10 leaves...

    Jeep Noob Suspension Questions

Yeah, I could go this route. I cut the wheel wells on my last XJ and thought I turned out pretty good. Is it wise to look at used leaf springs? I apologize for being a total noobie to the technical side of rock crawling. I don't know what to look for in spring length to keep the 4" of...

    Jeep Noob Suspension Questions

I do have plans for a long arm kit up front, although, I didn't know it was crucial with 6". The 6" plan may have to wait, as my priority now is getting rid of the blocks in the rear, and getting the dana 44 installed. Thanks, -Kramnden

    Jeep Noob Suspension Questions

I didn't realize I could still get axle wrap with leaf springs. Interesting. I'm leaning toward leaf springs as it seems it would be much cheaper. I'll have to price some things out to see what I ultimately do. Also, if I were to add 2" with shackles in the rear, and pucks in the front, am...

    Jeep Noob Suspension Questions

I have an XJ with a 4" Rancho lift that I'd like to improve upon. In the rear I've got stock leaf springs with 4" blocks under them, providing the lift. I have a dana 44 from a TJ that I'd like to bolt up too but I don't exactly know what to do with the suspension. I'd like to get rid of the...

    New carry pistol

Very nice gun. I carry the 9mm equivalent daily and have found the gun to be extremely accurate (although I've never tried to shoot at 100yds with a subcompact). I shoot better with it than my full size XD or even my friends Glock 17. Great size for concealment and extremely reliable. -Kramnden

    RME Weight loss Challenge

Secondly: I think you read me wrong. I NEVER said you can build lean mass and lose significant fat at the same time. As far as "starving yourself to lose weight", again I NEVER said this. Check my blog, check all of my posts, and check my clients and friends who I have helped lose weight. I...

    RME Weight loss Challenge

Point made. After reading the article you posted and relentlessly trying to prove the myth I presented, I found that I was sadly misguided. I was presented with the "Fat to Muscle" myth by a personal trainer and took it as gospel. My bad Beerman. As for building lean mass and losing...

Red or Blue, what are you?

I agree. The reason I think McCain sucks though is because of some of the policies he's put his name on. McCain/Fiengold, McCain/Lieberman, McCain/Kennedy... All of these, in my opinion, show McCain's true colors. Like I said, I agree with you that the McCain/Palin ticket is the best choice...

    RME Weight loss Challenge

If you mix cardio in with weight training you'll get your desired build. Its easier to convert fat into muscle than to lose 10-15 and then try to build it back. That's the problem I have now. After losing my weight I am now trying to build muscle out of nothing.

    RME Weight loss Challenge

Non-Intentional Hijack I don't know if I am allowed into the "Weight Losers" club but I have the opposite problem. I need to gain weight, however, I'm looking to gain the "good" weight. Muscle mass and whatnot. So, here it is: Age: 23 Height: 5'10" Weight: 155 Goal: 175-180 For those...

Agreed. McCain sucks, but communism sucks more.
