The part number for the pads on my 86 4runner are MKD137. And if I remember correctly you do have a 22re in this right? I would just take your old pads into autozone and have them pull that part and compare them. I'm betting these will be the right ones and you should have no problem exchanging...

The one I pulled out of my Runner lost 3rd gear and 1st was going as well. The other one I was told 1st gear was bad but I can't confirm that because I never ran it.

I still have some light fab work to do, so you can always come help with that. I'm not 100% sure what was wrong with the other engine? All I can think of is that I used the old head bolts instead of getting new ones, and they were stretched and ended up bottoming out and not sealing the head...
