    Project: Cheap! But still OK.

Carl - good stuff.... I noticed your extended stabilizers. I need to get a couple to support vehicles on a lift to keep it from wobbling around, and maybe hold up different things. There is the style you have, and harbor freight has one that opens up at the bottom with legs when being used...

Please keep us posted on towing - I'm especially interested if you get a chance to pull 10-12K lbs.

    All things camp trailer..

I bought my last trailer axle from Bubba's in Ogden - They are limited - they only have the widths they use for the trailers they manufacture, but I could make what they had work, and they were cheaper than the other places I tried.

    Moab Rim accident w/ casualties

I still hope we find out what happened - I can't imagine "a loud pop" coming from pushing the clutch in. This is such a sketchy obstacle by the proximity to the river that I can't imagine it happening from something inadvertent. It sounds like he was on his way up and parked above the...

    Shower Replacement

We are wanting to replace a tub/shower enclosure that was put in when we bought the house. I am leaning towards replacing it with a shower only. I've looked at cultured marble/acrylic wall panels with a shower base, and the companies that seem good are more $$ than I think it should cost...

    EcoBoost

Would you guys that own these feel comfortable pulling 12K trailers?

    EcoBoost

if you are pulling less 27kgcvw the diesel will likely be a huge waste of money. That got my attention. I have an '03 Dodge Diesel that I like, but will eventually need to be repalced. I regularly tow 11-12K flatbed with roughly 1,300 lbs tongue weight, and a 5th wheel RV that weights about...

    Coronavirus

I have been wondering why I don't hear people talk about how many recovered cases are being removed from the "active" pool cound each day. Every day, the active cases from 21 days previous should drop out of the pool - so if new cases stay flat for 21 days, the total active cases shouldn't...

    Whole house backup generator

I have a poor mans version of generator backup - I have a 220v plug wired in my garage, about 40 feet of extension cord with ends. and a 4,000w onan generator. When the power goes out, I have to go out an turn off the main disconnect to my house, roll the generator out to the side of my house...

    53rd annual Baja 1000!

its been several years, but the thing I remember about riding a bike down there on some of the course was the sand didn't seem like sand - more like powder with big rocks hidden underneath. I can't imagine riding in that stuff in a race. Good Luck!

    Tap and die set advice

I have Irwin/Hansen sets and like them - they replaced the harbor freight sets. I did break one Irwin tap because I was in a hurry and used it in my cordless drill to speed things up :-) Not recommended apparenltly - I think they replaced it for free.

For Sale 1983 Honda XR500R for sell

I have seen this on KSL - I love these bikes! (I got my first one when I was 16 - then I replaced it with another one 15 years later) I watched Iron Eagle the other day on TV and smiled when the kid on this bike was racing the plane....... This one is clean! Good luck with the sale

Free 5x5.5 bolt pattern 15'x6" steel wheel with bias tire

I've had this wheel and tire kicking around for years as a 5th spare to a set - I sold the other 4, and ended up with this. I've never used it - but carried it as a light spare a few times. Let me know if anyone wants it. I'm in Riverton Thanks Kirk 801-824-9325

    Home built trailer

I've been slowly adding tongue weight, not less - I started with about 1,050 - and it wasn't enough - I wouldn't be surprised if I'm pushing 1,250-1,300 lbs. toungue weight. I haven't weighed it for a few months. Since the picture, I've added a front bumper/winch to the tracker and two spare...

    Home built trailer

Joining this late..... I am currently squeezing a tracker and a stretched CJ on a 22 ft deck. (bubba's trailer 7K axles) You can see I had to build ramps for the front. I've had a hard time getting comfortable with the hitch weight - I had to go from a 12K equalizer to a 14K with over 1,200...

    Rear Dana 44 E-Locker?

I have one on a d44 front, and had one problem with it - I don't know how it happened, but the tabs that hold the stator from rotating around broke off, and I had to replace the stator. Cost me $200 to replace - but other that that, it works good.

General Tech Safety inspection shop Brigham city

Just fyi - I have one expiring in December - I called the DMV and the person said I still need to have safety done this time even if I wait till March 2018 to register the vehicle - cause its required for 2017. After this one - not needed
