05 Grand Cherokee Service Electric Brake System - Won't Start

My wife was at the store the other day when her 05 Grand Cherokee would not restart. The Jeep is an 05 Grand Cherokee with a 3.7L V6, automatic, and all wheel drive, and 52000 miles. This is a slightly modified street Jeep. It was fine earlier then just would not even crank. There is a click when you turn the key but no cranking. The windows won't roll down and fan won't blow. The message center says SERVICE ELEC BRAKE SYSTEM. I tried disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes. I could roll down the windows until I tried to start the truck, then it went back to a limp mode where I could not do anything with the electrical. Had to have the truck towed. Any idea what could cause this? Anyone had this happen?

Got it figured out. Ended up being a battery issue (not enough juice). Replaced the battery and it fired up. So far so good. Got to love the computer controlled BS. This is why I like my simple little XJ.
