THAT is just one reason why it's good to get your kids familiar with firearms--along with knowing how to be safe instead of shooting themselves or someone else out of ignorant curiosity.

The two houses next door that had already been robbed...if every house had a gun in it, I'd think those robbers would think twice before breaking in. :mad:

That's why my kids are learning now. My three year old knows what guns are, and also knows that he is supposed to check if a gun is loaded before touching it. It's funny, I or my wife will show him a rifle with the bolt open, he'll stick his finger in the chamber and say "no bullets, ok".
