2004 TJ Rubicon, rough but fun! $10k OBO

It's been around, that's for sure. It's a salvage title for one. I bought it about four years ago and rebuilt it enough to wheel it and daily drive it.
I thought I would get into the crawling more than I did, and for the last year it has just mainly sat around and been the third vehicle, or the one we take skiing on days the canyons are really snowy. It's white, except where it's black. I have motorcycles now that I always choose for trail fun, and a lifted van for camping, so the Jeep doesn't really have a place in our stable anymore. Other than we like it. Heh!

Some of these photos will hopefully show up:

High points:
Hard top, soft top, bikini top
Full doors
The usual Rubicon stuff, all working great (yay pushbutton lockers!)
White
Small lift
Front bumper and 12k HF winch with wireless remote
Fox shocks in the front
Grand Cherokee tie rod/drag link with spares
A few spare axle shafts
full carpet
CB/antenna
rocker protection with tubes, actually works
hard top removal doodad. A hand winch and a bunch of square tubes and cables, purpose made by a real company for this. If your garage is tall enough it's supposed to be great. Mine wasn't. You can also use a tree, apparently. I don't have either handy enough to have ever used it.
Extra switches on dash, used previously to control a Ramsey winch and some lights, both of which bit the dust
USB ports in dash for charging stuff
Decent enough cd/mp3 stereo with aux jack and cable, all speakers work, including built in sub
extra sub speaker new in box, if I can find it (it's here... somewhere)
wee little tow hitch in back, will come with it's little bar thing. I used it a few times to tow a motorcycle around.
fancy rear view mirror with compass, but the windshield replacement guy broke the connector. It can still work if if you push the pins in.
door switch disable switch
extra lights in the hardtop, so you can actually see in there
spare rear driveshaft, might have a spare front
possibly some spare Ujoints too
recent front brakes and steering components
hard top has a rack on it, and carpet inside
Currie Johnnie Joint front control arms

Low points:
Mismatched front left fender
cracked tire carrier
some cracks in hard top
holes in windshield frame from PO who had a lightbar
one bent wheel (still holds tire/air though)
exhaust is getting a bit noisy, passed inspection recently though
carpet is stained from salt, other stuff you end up dragging in
Can't shift into 1st gear manually due to either a bent bracket or just mal-adjusted arm
small surface rust spots from chips in paint
dented hood
assorted scratches and small dents from off roading
usual rusty mess underneath from driving in winter
Goodyear MTR tires probably have only a year or so left on them, somewhat beat up from off roading
salvage title
rear shocks are a cludge. So embarrassing, I meant to outboard the shocks but hadn't gotten around to it. I can include the brackets for this job if you want them.
Rear brakes might need replaced pads/rotors
some play in the steering shaft, I think it would be an easy replacement, but it never bothered me much so I didn't do it.
hard top leaks every so slightly where the rack is attached, needs some RTV probably

If you are looking for a fun toy, this might be it. If you are looking for a grocery getting TJ, this isn't going to be it. It's not much to look at, but it performs. Not a good commuter, noisy, bumpy, windy, wanders, it's a Jeep.

I am looking to get into a Nissan NV pretty soon, and selling this Jeep and our van gets us a lot closer to the purchase price. I will miss the Jeep terribly, as it's been a fun vehicle (lots of fun!) but it doesn't have the room we need when traveling, so it ends up staying at home and only driven rarely the last few years. I didn't even take the hard top off last year! Criminy!

I would definitely trade this towards a Nissan NV or maybe a Sprinter if you are selling one. No trades otherwise. Located in Bountiful.
