Toyota 22RE stutter

I have a 22re punched out 20 thousands and a larger cam it runs great if you don't leave the shop but when you drive it starts to stutter at 1700 RPM and stops at 3000 RPM or so. Is it bad injectors or TPS sensor? It even quit for a little while and then it just started again.Any thoughts would help.

I just rebuilt it 4000 miles ago I will check all of the above nothing more frustrating than a new engine running like crap I thought I put new plugs in but I will try any thing if it is a bad head gasket I will have a 4runner for sale.

If you're going to remove the plugs to check them, you should unplug the coil wire and crank the motor a few times to see if the cylinder blows any water or mist out of the cylinder, good way to check for water in the cylinder

Head gaskets on those aren't that bad.

i can do the HG in about 3 hrs. it is not hard just remember to torque EVERYTHING correctly. If I is you can bring by my gargae and we can get-r-done. no worries.
