3.0L to 3.4L with same motor?

So I was reading on the Internet, I wish I could find it again but can't for some reason. But I was reading that the Toyota 3.0L is the same block as the 3.4L. The only difference is that I read was that the crank is stroked. So the only thing that I would need to do is change the crank and connecting rods. So I was wondering if anyone has done this or heard of it or could tell me if I'm reading false crap

Kind of...you can bore and stroke a 3.0L to 3.4L displacement wise but it will not be a 5vzfe. The electronics are much different.

Swap in a 3.4 and never look back. The engine mounts and dimensions are the same, the intake height is taller on the 5VZ.

yeah and as far as the head is concerned i highly doubt a 3.4 head with bolt to a 3.0 block.
