I have a friend that owns a 94 grand cherokee with the v8 and full time t-case. He's had a lot of problems with it. Gone out twice. I was thinking we should swap in a part-time case from a I-6 grand so he could have the awd option, but run in 2wd for the regular season (save on gas and t-case wear). Pretty sure both cases are 23 spline and will bolt up. Not so sure on the linkage, vacuum, speedo, and electrical. Never worked on one. Educate me. Possible without too many mods? I don't even know what the number indicators are for these t-cases. Maybe you even know someone that's selling one.
