I have a 95 yj that I cant get the key cylider to turn to start the jeep. how much of a pain in the butt are these to change? any tips would be much appreciated
Most key cylinders are pretty easy if you can get to them. They usually have a small hole that releases them, but they generally have to turn to the run position to get them out
It's pretty simple. Rent/borrow a steering wheel puller from Checker/Autozone and it's only a few screws after that. I doubt you'll need the key at all, I replaced one in a waggy because it didn't even come with a key.
