We ran AF cayon on Monday again.....

Forest Lake: we again made it to the snow line again and blasted up the trail about 100 yards past the furthest attemp before us. I used my winch to make it to the top of the biggest hill thinking that we would be able to blast our way through the rest but was wrong! I got stuck pretty bad at the top and luckily i had a winch cause i would still be there! i have some pics and video's from the attemps. Still a tons of snow, give it another week and then maybe it will be doable!

Up Mineral Basin: we ran the Snowbird trail and made it about 300 yards past the last attempeted person! It was awesome! There was a HUGE sink hole right in the middle of the trail that had a wall about 3 feet tall at the end. The mud in it was the thickest mud i have ever seen! We saw about 4 vehicles try it and mine and the J-10 were the only 2 that made it! There was a 4-wheeler that winched up it then turned around and jumped his wheeler into it!! that was awesome! I have 1 video of the J-10 driving into the mud hole!

hey thats a sweet rig you got there i was in the red tj you past going down then i saw you in the parking lot that sink hole is huge i made it up no problem on sat but mon i couldn't even get my front tires up

thanks! I did hear that the sink hole had grown over the week! Makes you wonder what they will do to fix it? Before people take out the bushes to go around it?

I was up Mineral Basin yesterday. The sink is dry now but still has a 3 foot wall at least. I actually made it through in my YJ with minimal mods. I drove through the rock garden up to a meadow where I had to turn around cause I was out of time. Some other folks said the snow blocking the trail not much further up. There was a XJ group up there. NAXJA I think. One of them kept getting high centered in the rock garden. He was really beating the crap out of his rig. He kept trying to get his diffs to go over a bolder. After about 30 mins he finally got through. Of course there was one guy up there with a rock buggy that made it look like some simple gravel road.

The Rock garden is almost GONE!! Looks like the rocks have washed further down the trail and now it isn't nearly as hard or fun as it use to be

i don't know what your talking about it looked the same yesterday as it di last summer.now as to what it looked like before that i don't know.

thanks! I did hear that the sink hole had grown over the week! Makes you wonder what they will do to fix it? Before people take out the bushes to go around it?

There's already a go-around via the campsites on the right. Hopefully people won't start going through the bushes.

I don't think everyone will be smart enough to unfortunatly!
