Let us know how the mounting works real-world. I'm thinking if there's any panel-to-tube contact anywhere between bolts, you'll still rattle. Weatherstripping makes everything nice and solid-sounding though. :)

I will, I took your advice and bought some thin door molding. I wrapped the edges with it, it turned out great. I hope it wont rattle, there is nothing that bugs me more.

I picked up some tires today, these are not my first choice but I am kind of excited to see how they do. They are a 37/14/17 bias ply irok. now for the cool part.. they are intercos comp compound! a sticky irok in a 37. The deal was far to good to pass up.

some test fitting for fun, I still need wheels and am undecided on what to get or what backspace to pick. any suggestions?

I want aluminum for weight reasons but am concerned about them cracking on hard hits and not bending like steel would., But I want steel so I can weld beadlocks on...

Those rubber pieces are called "well nuts" and they are used commonly on snowmobiles among other things. They work really well but like most rubber things they don't like long term UV exposure. Looking great!

well its been awhile since my last update. I have been working on it but have not had time to up date. lets see, bought some new shocks front and rear. I got some new rock equipment airshock/coilover hybrids for the rear 14" still. For the front i got some new sway-a-way 2.0 14" remot resi coilovers. I hadn't planned on buying new shocks but the price was right on both, so i couldn't pass them up.

I got the fuel cell mounted and lines ran. I went with a E2000 in line fuel pump. seems to work good but it sure is loud.

worked on the engine harness for a little. I think i shed about 20 lbs haha there is so much crap you dont need in these things. Ill have to get a picture, but i got it down to a 4 wire hook up
constant +
switched (ignition)
ground -
fuel pump.
thats it for the 22re I even cut out both fuse blocks and made my own with 3 fuses, and 3 relays.

here is the harness, 90% done. I didnt make this one the cleanest I could only because I am not sure how long this motor will stay in here. It is still pretty good.

Cool tires. I just picked up some Irok 36/13.50/17. I went with steel wheels with aluminum rock rings on the beadlocks. I figured it was a good compromise with strength vs weight.
