Started my first hard cider attempt the other day and the only yeast i could find was bakers yeast. So I will have a very doughy first batch.

yeah I seen those but thats a long drive for a couple dollars worth of yeast. Looking for a place south of the point

I don't know of anything south of the point. You could order it from Northern and have it shipped to you.

a buddy is just about done with 2 batches of cider. he used a champagne yeast on one, and the White labs cider yeast on the other. the cider yeast batch turned out much better.
