i've got a 4runner rear end (7.5" w/4.10s) that's lying around here. is it strong? any lockers made for it? do people actually buy them used? it's free so i'm debating whether or not to use it for something. thanks -grant

It should be bigger than 7.5" was the 4runner 2wd? Did it have a v6?

If it's not a 7.5 then yes you can use it, if it is then you shouldn't run very big tires, and I wouldn't use it at all. You can get a locker for both.

If it a 96-02 and a non TRD you have a 8.4 ring size and they say they are as strong as a Dana 44. I know guys running 37-38's with little or no problems but I would stay at 35's. And yes you can get lockers for it ARB, Lock Right, Limited Slip no Detroits as of yet though.
