my buddy has a 87 sammi that blew the engine is there a easy drop engine for them or best to stick with the one that came in it

Don't have a Sami anymore but I was considering the 1.6 FI engine out of a Sidekick, not really a "drop-in" conversion but sweet! I'm sure one of the Sami guys can find you a decent website detailing the swap...

ditto. you can do the 1.6 16 valve (more top end HP) or the 1.6 8V for the bottom end grunt. both are solida candidates, nothing is "Drop In" because you have to buy adaptor plates. Save yourself some grief and put in the bigger motor. The stock Samurai motor literally MADE ME buy my wrangler!!! I couldn't take the gutlessness anymore!!
