This thing is awesome. It has extreme flex.

We have a picture of it on Pritchett Canyon where he went into a pot hole (kinda like a hottub, but just big enough for a tire to fit in it) and the rear axle articulated so much that the rear passenger tire was completely under the passenger rear door!!!

It bent his control arm and pulled the shock off of the body mount.

I bet if you just disconnect those pesky control arms and shocks, that thing will get even more extreme flex.

Sounds like time for a limiting strap if you're doing that. 8" of lift and that loose of a suspension--sounds like a bad recipe to me. Clean rig though.

Daily Driven... Sway bars disconnected up front... Very stable on road.

Flex isn't the end all of offroad performance.


Clean rig, hope you get those bugs worked out.

Yeah, I doubt I'd want to do that. This thing would just articulate till the axles fell off. It's not too bad of a recipe though. I've gone pretty much everywhere in Moab (just have people hanging onto the bumpers to keep me upright).

That XJ has a lot of flex. It will be unstoppable when you get gears, lockers and new tires. Instead of running lame ass pro comp all terrian.
