Brake bleeding?

So took out the H block ran the fronts direct and put an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line. So is it necessary to bench bleed the MC? Thought I had the brakes bled well but I seem to have a very soft pedal and very weak brakes. Could I just continue to bleed and bleed the brakes and would this get all the air out of the MC?
Thanks

Maybe. Did you totally empty the MC??? If not, you shouldn't need to bench bleed it... but if you do, make some u-shaped lines, so you can use the pedal, in the vehicle. Actual bench-bleeding sucks.

Re-bleed the brakes, and see how it goes. After that, park uphill with a 2x4 between the pedal and something hard, leave it overnight. It's the redneck way to finish bleeding the system when you just can't get that last bit out. :D And it works. ;)

This all assumes your MC and lines are all sized right, etc.

the 2x4 trick? does this sound right. With all the bleeder valves closed simply compress the brake pedal wedge a 2x4 to hold the brake pedal down and let it sit? How and where will the air go if all the valves are closed or do they migrate back towards the MC? thanks

Disk or drub brakes? If disk another trick to getting all the air out it to take the caliper off and flip it upside down. put something in between the pads or just place on the rotor upside down so you don't pop the caliper out to far. Bleed in the upside down position. then just put the caliper back on and bleed a few more times in the proper position again.

The air goes up the lines into the MC.
