My point may be moot now, but I've run a 300 for years and the only upgrade is a twin stick and I've never had a lick of problems with it. It's behind a 360 with 4.56s and 37s.

Yeah, the higher gear ratio you are in the more your TC has to slip ie the more heat that gets put into your oil. ;)
part of that is true, the higher the gear has nothing really to do with it other than RPM. Once you hit the stall RPM of the TC it locks up. Put a TC with the "correct" stall and you won't have a problem with that aspect of it. Yes heat kills autos, and slippage causes heat, but the first gear in your tranny doesn't really have much to do with it.

I love my 3 speed tc and I dont think I will ever go with anything else. The 5.4:1 is great for tech crawling and the 3:1 for when I need the wheel spin to shot something.
