GMC / Chevy Caveman built Mc-Ferdgy won tons and 4d2s

Since you are a professional welder I am sure you know the value of having a good welding table, it was pretty much the best thing I ever did. I can stick a "swiveling holding thing" in the receiver on it. Mine is 3ftx4ft 1/2 inch top, I made a little cart that is in place under it with casters on it. I use a ford bottle jack to raise the table onto the little cart and can wheel it around. I was lucky the only thing I had to buy was the top, the casters, the acme all thread and nuts. It is not heavy enough for a "real metal worker" but it is small enough for my shop.

oh the reason I bring it up is that I rarely use my "swiveling holding thing" I just vice grip stuff to the table top.

(sorry for the thread jack)

In this picture the table is off the ground and on the castors (I originally thought that I would have the bottle jack upside-down to keep metal dust out of the jack, but it works better right-side up so now it is right-side up)

Spiffy, cool idea.

kinda a crappy update but i didnt really get anything done this weekend. I went to easter jeep safari and watched the WEROCK races. Ive never seen any actual rock races before, but man the 4400s were awesome. 6-800 horses, 3500 lb buggies on 42s and zero Fu*ks to give. Lol they slammed their buggies into everything.
I did get my tubing sent in for the front axle so I can start putting it together. Im waiting to get it back, but I dont really have faith in it being done correctly. I didnt get the doubler crossmember done because for some reason I just cant figure out how to fabricate it. It seemed like it was going to be so easy, then I started trying to do it and for some reason I just have a mental block.

Im still building this Im just having troubles with pieces that do NOT want to play along. Im having alot of trouble with the doubler crossmember wanting to bolt in correctly. And I went to start putting my front axle together since I got the piece of tubing turned down. I went to put the carrier in and it turns out the person who sold me the "LOW PINION" standard cut ring gear actually gave me a High pinion reverse cut gear. After alot of trying to figure out what was going on I finally took the ring gear off of the carrier and tried to rotate the pinion with the ring gear by itself.... No bueno and no mesh. BOOOOO things that suck.

Still waiting on a ring and pinion I bought on Ebay 2 weeks ago. Wont be working on this thing till the 24th or later. Going back to the bottom of Louisiana for 2 weeks to visit my fam. Shooting for this thing being done by mid august. If I dont run out of steam on this project.

Haven't posted in a while, I extended my shop out, built a 15ftx3ftx2ft 3 shelf welding table, sold my tires off this thing, and bought and built a really strong running and Zero dirt on it Cherokee on 35s for a $200 profit without selling it. (I still have it :D) http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/project-grocery-getter-2451385/. I also ran into a couple of issues and will have to get a new dd/tow rig. So I may end up having to sell this thing. Not sure how its gonna go.

And just like that it ended. Too many drilling rigs laying down here so I sold all the parts to pay off all my bills. Sad to see it go.

Cause new vehicle
