Here is what the service manual says:

"No Crank Referance Signal at PCM - No reference signal (crankshaft position sensor) detected during engine cranking"

OR

"No RPM signal to PCM (Crankshaft Position Sensor to JTEC) - A CKP signal has not been detected at the PCM."

What does this mean?

I forgot to mention, when I started my WJ it was shaking and when I pressed on the gas nothing happened. The tach wouldn't even move. It also had a bad idle.

That's about the dealer list price if I remember correctly........ I'll never NOT put another dealer sensor in any of my computer controlled vehicles. Too expensive
