is it a 400 small block? i only ask because they take a different flex plate than the 305/327/350

i'll let you know after i get home and look through my crap

the 5.3 is a gen3 engine, and is a different flex plate entirely from the gen1 small blocks,

i btw can't find any laying around, i may have one in my storage unit

i need one for a turbo 350 to a vortec 4.3. I thought i could just use any small block flex plate but i could be wrong?

a fair number of 4.3s have different tooth count than the small blocks. the 4.3 is neutral balanced just like the genI and gen II 305/327/350, but flex-plates/flywheels in 400/383 use an externally balanced flex plate/flywheel

and gen III (LS-based) is different too

here, if you can't find one private-party, you can get a new one for $29.00 http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d...t+flexplate_1061075_3961&keyword=at+flexplate
