I have a 1978 CJ5 and I am wondering if anyone know what the stock wheelbase is from hub to hub? I am almost sure mine is now longer but need to verify. Thanks

OK, thanks. Good to know that I am currently at about 89 inches. Its not the 100 inches thats ideal for crawling, but better than stock. With the full width axles I should be ahead of the game.

I stretched my old CJ-5 out to 100".Moved the spring hangers back and lengthened the frame.There is no ideal WB for crawling.It depends on lots of things.If your doing tight rocky trails then shorter maybee better.Wide open slickrock trails like Hell's Revenge a long WB would be better.My '70 Jeepster will be on 38"ers for now and have a WB off 106-108.
