cj7 door latches

I have a 1980 cj7. I have a hard top and hard doors for said cj. I just bought 1/2 doors with the soft tops for 50 bucks, however these must be for a later model cj, as it has a different latching mechanism.

My existing doors/latch has the lever handle with a latch much like on a house door.

The 1/2 doors have the post/C roll over type of latch (like on most any car door).

Any ideas on how I can latch the new door -- kludge is ok .... hard top and full hard doors need to continue to work.

Yes, but maybe no ... that is what the half doors want, but that may prevent the stock doors from closing?

however, those are flush mounts, thus may be fine ... where can I find these?

as meat showed, they're all over, but you'll be paying more than you did for your doors... you'd be better off getting them from the junkyard

that might not work... looking at this picture, it mounts flush with the tub...

and i doubt pre 1981 CJs came ready to mount them
