Clutch

I just bought a 97 tj se, it runs fine. the only problem is that most of the time when I shift into third gear, it grinds and does not engage until I move the stick a little bit. Is there anything that I can do to help this problem, or do I just have to get a new clutch.

I am pretty new to this stuff, so any suggestions would be apreciated.

hate to tell you this but its probly not the cluch it sounds like the syncrods in the trans witch means a rebild is in oder. but while you have it out it would be a good idea to change the cluch

It sounds like your trans is acting up. Callme or swing it down to the shop and we can check it out for you. We do a ton of transmission and clutch repairs/installs.

How about 3 strikes your out kinda deal. I agree that it sounds more like trans then clutch.
