So I have done a cut and turn on a d44 and all I did was grind out the weld until I could see a hairline all the way around the tube, use a rosebud on the C and whack it.

I am now trying to do this with my d60, Damn thing will not move...any tips?

Big press. No, I mean BIG press.

I only tried one without narrowing it at the same time, but I didn't get the C off, had to take it to someone with a BIG press specifically for axles.

had it done to my Dana

If you are looking to retube it and not have it narrowed it will cost you about 500 bucks, maybe they went down but I know that they did it right and that is piece of mind to me when I am on the trail.
