maybe I'm just crazy but how is a simple 4' metal shield (what, $20 in material and labor) not easier than an $800 adapter??? :confused:

You would only need it over the muffler and cat. The rest of the pipe would be plenty far away.

I will check pirate. I don't care if I have to cut up the floor and stuff. What about the heat wrap stuff they sell? That would probably work.
Also, The new adapters have a new shaft for the conversion. Is that really needed?
