Jeep Dana 44

So I was wondering if there was anyone on here that knew if i could put a dana 44 from a jk into my tj. does it mount right up or would it take some modification to get it to fit? and if it does take some modification how much?

The axle is wider with different mounting points for the suspension arms. You would either have to modify your suspension or the mounting points. Also, the drivelines won't fit. Another thing to think about is the bolt pattern is different so your wheels won't work.

I put one under my ZJ. Control arm brackets will work, steering will need to be solved, track bar will need to be solved. Spring perches will need to be moved inward, and then you'll have a wider axle with a differnt bolt pattern for wheels, and brakes that don't clear most 15" wheels.

That's my build thread, has most of the info... if you decide to swap the rear JK axle as well, you'll have to start from scratch... NOTHING is cross compatible.
