I was just thinking this weekend, they go about this all backwards. They get a bunch of folks going into an area and getting in trouble because the roads are bad. So they blade and gravel the roads, and then even more people get in and the place gets overrun so they respond by shutting down dispersed camping and closing roads. Then the few camping areas and roads that are left get loved to death but they never maintain them so we end up driving miles and miles of beat up washboard and pooping in overflowing toilets and tripping over trash everywhere just to get to set up camp in a SxS-ravaged dustbowl fifty yards from some jackwagon and his house on wheels.

They had it perfect the first time. Put the damned graders and gravel trucks away. Keep the Subarus and 5th wheels out and the problem will solve itself.
