GMC / Chevy do i need these

i was wondering if i need these to get a good flexy suspionsion

the first bumpstop looks like it keeps things from hitting the exhaust, I think you may want to keep them around...

I'm planning on getting new exhaust that goes in front of the rear tires

Since no one else is responding I guess you get to deal with whatever I think up.
Basically a bump-stop does 2 things, 1. keeps your axle from moving too far up and contacting something you don't want contacted.

2. limits spring travel so that springs aren't in a stressed point causing breakage. There is a limit to what a spring will flex and exceeding that limit would be a bad thing.
