I was thinking of trying to make a driveline parking brake, anybody do this or seen it done?

I was thinking of getting a disc from a motorcycle that would fit on the transfer case yoke and a mechanical caliper, and just fab up a mounting bracket.

what ya think?

What you putting it on?? If its for a Toyota Sky manufacturing is where I got mine, works great till t case output starts to leak. Theirs is a bolt on that uses your stock ebrake cables and very easy.

Here's a link of a DIY e-brake for a toyota case. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=467466 Not the same case, but if you prefer to do your own it is a good read. As a side note, some have not been completely satisfied with the toyota t-case e-brakes available from the aftermarket. I would have to go back and reread exactly why, but it seems like they didn't hold as much angle as the owners wanted. Be sure to post up your results. I need to get one someday...
