So they anounced that farmington canyon needs repairs before it can open and won't award the contracts till august 2012. So anyone know how far up the bountiful side you can get up. I would like to go camping soon.

Once the snow clears you can go up the bountiful side and drive around the back side all the way up to the weather station. I did it a few times last year. It's about a 2 hour drive from the B to the first pond past the weather station.
The road I took on google maps is called Francis Peak Road. You take Skyline up to it then you have to turn south and take a big detour and drive pretty much around the mountains before it hooks back up with skyline drive again.

I just looked at my post from last year and it is forest service road 084. It's always a good idea to call the forest service before hand to make sure this road is open. Usually Kathy Polluck is the one to talk to.
