I always used my high lift jack and a bit of chain.

I use the high lift as well, but I do have a T post puller if thats what your after.. It wont do round posts though

I do have a high lift I will give it a shot. 4x4's in cement, I tried a come along suspended from the apex of a ladder last night. No go but I saw this just now and think I may try it.
Winch, snatch block should offer more control.
