South-East Utah first time to Southern Utah

I'm relatively new to Salt Lake and haven't been down to Southern Utah yet... planning on heading down this weekend. I'm sure it will be busy for Memorial Day weekend, but it's supposed to be rainy up here and I'm itching to try out my new rooftop tent.

I bought a book of trails in the Moab area, but my girlfriend and I don't really know where to go, or where to camp. So, any advice is appreciated! I'd like to bring my dog unless he's not allowed in a lot of places. I'm hoping to run some fun trails and camp at a spot with a view as far away from people as possible.

My truck has 33" tires, an air locker in the rear, sliders and high clearance bumpers.

Any advice is appreciated!

Your truck will be very capable on many trails in moab.

Hell's Revenge is a classic moab trail, and is very fun and scenic.
camping down kane creek road would get out out away from others. Kane creek trail would also be a fun one (provided there is not a flood danger)
Hole in the rock is my favorite trail, but I wouldn't tackle it alone, especially for a first time.
You can do any of the moderate trails in the book by yourself.
