first truck to the top of lake mountain in the snow

i believe that my friend and i are the first people to make it to the top of lake mountain in a truck. there were a few sets of atv tracks but thats all. we tried a few weeks ago but the snow was too soft. we went this morning at 7 so that we could try to get on top of the snow rather than sinking in 4 feet!! we succeded. here are some pics

where is lake mountain? looks like fun

it is west of utah lake and saratoga springs. some people call it lake mountain and others call it tower mountain but the canyon we go up is called isriel canyon

I'm surprised there is that much snow. They have little Brown signs saying Israel canyon but it's easier just to know you turn at the Stillwater development.

I got paid $100 to winch a Bronco out of the Tower area when it broke through the crust several years ago. We went up the road from behind or the side, I don't remember. I did get him out though. I got a speeding ticket so I really didn't get anything out of it but a fun few hours.

it is fun just to go mess around, too bad there isnt any fun obsticals or anything.

Yea but it's a lot more scenic and stock vehicle friendly. The rock slide area in the summer gets a little interesting if you've never done it before. I would rather do lake mountain with the wife and kids than anything out at 5-mile pass.

And if you don't like the rock slide area then there's always the road up the back side, it's pretty smooth and even more friendly.
