Engine has 205,000 miles
Compression test is; #1 125, #2 130, #3 125, #4 125, #5 125, #6 130
The engine still runs great. For the last 70,000 miles it has had Mobil 1 oil in it that was changed every 4000 miles or 6 months. (the last few years I changed it in the spring and the fall which was usually about 2000 miles between changes) This engine does not have any oil drips, it does have some oil seepage around the gaskets but it doesn’t leave oil spots. I am replacing this motor with a 4.6L Stroker. The engine is still in the Jeep but should be removed by 1/12/16.
This will be a almost complete engine, it will include; Oil pan, Valve Cover, Timing Cover, Balancer, Water Pump, Spark plugs. Pretty much everything but the Intake manifold, Exhaust Manifold, thermostat housing, and distributor.
Jeep made many changes to the 4.0L over the years and for different vehicle models, I do not know if this engine will work in your jeep, I know it is the original engine that came in a 1999 Jeep Cherokee.
