I grew up with racing porsches in my family, and I like my race-prepped miata every bit as much. Then again, I'm more into handling than raw power. If I had a corvette or saleen I'd never take it near its potential. The miata allows me to take it to it's full potential on the way to work every day. Now if only I could find one.

50/50 weight, rwd, and with a 1-2" drop and stiffer springs, they seriously drive like a go-cart.

I just did the same! I'm not a huge racing guy but I love to drive anything. I love seeing cars used for what they are intended for. Trucks hauling, jeeps jeeping, landcruisers exploring, and cars driven hard. Nothing makes me madder than the guy in the neighborhood with the F350 that doesn't even have a trailer or the Porche GT2 my neighbor has that hasn't seen a canyon road ever!

Its been under a cover for almost 6 months. Maybe we should steal it and replace it with a Miata. He wouldn't notice for another 6 months!

Sorry for the newb question but what makes the Miata's more desirable over the RX7's? I rode in a twin trubo'ed 13B RX7 once and I still think that was the coolest thing ever

I don't know if it's in the same category but my dad's cousin built a Porshe 914 with a Vortec supercharged small block (LS1 maybe?) in it. Unique. Fast.
