FREEBIE! Dana 60 rear axle w/ 4.56 gears
I picked this up as part of an axle package, but the front axle was all I needed/wanted.
It is an older rear 60 full floater, 8 on 6.5" lug pattern. Factory 4.56 gears, welded diff. IIRC, it is 63-64" wms-wms. 19 spline shafts (plus a spare that fits either side.) It could be easily converted to 30 spline by replacing the shafts and carrier, but the spindles are NOT large enough to bore out for 35 spline. No brakes, but it has caliper brackets welded to the factory backing plate flange. Gears have some rust pitting from water contamination in the oil, but they should be just fine for a trail rig. Bearings look OK as far as I can tell. The pinion yoke is there, but I haven't looked close to see what it is. I'm going to guess 1310 or 1330.
Throw some GM 8-lug 3/4 ton rotors on it, some GM 1/2 ton calipers and it should be usable.
I'd really like this to be gone on Saturday 4/4.
Anybody want it? Post up.
