Friend of mine needs help

My friend's brother was playing softball, enjoying the game, and then life happened.

Took a line drive to the side of the head, life flight, crushed skull, etc.

He's going to lose his eye... He was born deaf, and hasn't had an easy go of it...

This brings up a bad memory and why I stopped playing baseball, I was hurt and broke a watch and a pair of glasses to the same exact thing when I was a youngster, my brother hit the ball directly at me and the ball bounced off my watch and broke my glasses. If the watch and my wrist hadn't slowed it down I likely would have had more than a fractured wrist and bruised temple and forehead. My heart goes out to this guy and I will see what I can do to help.
