What to do? Running a 89 dana 60 with Cage long arms on a 70 Bronco. Left the axles full width, but in order to center the axle under the rig it left about an inch of clearance between the drivers side radius arm and the differential yoke. Under flex with the drivers stuffed the radius arm will actually hit the differential yoke. How does this happen as the radius arm is fixed to the axle?

It's not solid to the axle, there is a bushing (or two) in there to allow it to flex.

I don't know the fix for it though.....

didn't think of the bushing alowing some flex. Maybe I can grind out the radius arm a bit for starters.

I think that would make your problem worse. If grind out the radius arm, won't that allow the axle to move more, causing it to hit the yoke even more?

Could you adjust the passenger side hiem out changing the angle of the axle slightly so it does not hit?

I am having a hard time visualizing how it is hitting. Could you post some pics?

Those taper in quite a bit, or taper out depending on the way you look at it. What about changing that angle a little bit. Not an easy fix, but a fab shop could do it with your material I think.

Does the arm bend in towards the yoke? I"m going to say you need different arms, thats just not a good design from the way the pic looks. How far can you outboard the mount? How is frame clearence?

cage arms are tapered in to clear tires at full lock.

you will probably have to redesign or modify the driverside arm

Moving the frame mount of the Cage arms outward will help your situation.

The axle is out of a 89 Ford F350. It was a leaf spring axle with a Spring perch width of approx 36". There is no "stock location" on the axle end.

I was thinking of the '79 60 for some reason.

I was wondering if the arms were mounted too close to the pumpkin, or if they are as far out as possible.
