I am looking for a place to do some work on the wife's mini-van. CV joints and crap. Where would be a place she could take it and not get taken? ( I work downtown and don't have time to take in myself.)

Lately I have been very pleased with Anderson Auto (Its a Goodyear store actually) on 7800 S...right in your area. They did some work on my wife's Jetta and they have done a ton of work on my bros Grand Cherokee and we're both very happy with them. I think I heard they changed their name but none the less its the Goodyear shop on 7800 S. down towards Redwood.
