I've got a Lakefield bolt action .22 that's missing the front sight. I'd like to replace the front sight but am having an issue finding parts since Lakefield was bought out by Savage and Savage doesn't really make a lot of the parts for the gun anymore. Hoping some of you might be able to direct me towards a specialist that might even be able to just make me one.

This is a stupid accurate gun to shoot and is even better open sights so I'm hoping to get it back to par before I head over seas in a few months and have to let it sit in Oregon for who knows how long.

If needed I'll take a picture of the front of the barrel with some measurements with a micrometer.

Pictures would help, Does it just screw on or does it slide in a dovetail?

Brownells has about anything if you can identify what you need.

It is a Mark II so of course the front sight is sold out. I'll look into the marble sights and see what I can come up with.

I'll never give up this gun. It was my first gun, hard to believe I've had it for almost 20 years now.

Sweet those are both good and pretty cheap options, especially the barrel, but I do like the idea of just upgrading both front and rear sights.
