Gas tank repair

Does anyone know a good alluminum gas tank repair guy? My father in laws boat gas tank needs to be repaired.
PS: How do they weld on a gas tank with out blowing yourself up?

as to answer your question, when I weld on tanks I stick my mig welder stinger into the opening of the tank , disconnect the feed on it, and I fill the whole tank with Argon, thus displacing the oxygen with argon.

I tried filling them with water once, but that caused all kinds of problems with vapor/steam blowing out and messing up the puddle.

I had a guy patch mine in Victorville, CA by filling it with gas, .37 cents a gal., and soldering it closed with a torch. I suggest what B2 said or totally air pressure evaporated.

Argon purge or water, or mostly water and argon for the last bit. It only takes a few drops of gas in the seams to create an explosive mixture ratio.
Sometimes people are still killed after taking these precautions.
