Does anybody know how to correct this. The gears are factory dana 300 and the rear output is JB conversions 32 spline. Notice how they're off by about 3/16ths?

There is a spacer between the gear and the tapered bearing and I'm thinking that if I remove it, the gear will be pulled back and should align with the idler gear. I'm going to experiment with it this weekend but wonder if that spacer has to be there or not. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Taken back apart I compared the measurements of the original output with the JB Conv shaft. All measured the same except for when I measured the spacer between the gear and the bearing. The new spacer is about .0025 thicker; not enough to make the gears out of alignment by about 3/16". However then I pressed the bearing on without the spacer and put it back in the case and it was about 1/16 too much. Any ideas on where I can get a thinner spacer?
